We’re basically artists with a background in let's just try it, a stubborn streak for miles and a few mad crazy ideas. We’re basically furniture artist with a background in chemical science, a stubborn streak for miles and a few mad crazy ideas. At SomeDaysi, we treat refinishing like a fun experiment. We love testing different materials and letting the final coat of paint, dye, or stain surprise us. Taking a piece of furniture from "meh" to "OMG, Love It" is our favorite way to spark creativity. We believe art shouldn't just be hanging on a wall—it should be holding your coffee cup, storing your socks, or inspiring you to organize something. So don't wait for the perfect time. ~ If you ever catch yourself saying, “Someday I’ll do this,” or “Someday I’ll learn that,” take this as your sign to just start. Pivot when it fails. And have fun with the everyday things. Make sure today turns into SomeDaysi.

10 things nobody warns you about when you start painting furniture…

1. Your normal clothes will slowly become painting clothes. Even the “good” ones. Especially the good ones.

2. Your car will never fit in the garage again. The garage belongs to the furniture now.

3. You’ll become exceptionally good at furniture Tetris. Three cabinets, two bedside tables and a chair *will* fit in there if everyone remains calm.

4. You’ll own 27 paintbrushes—and still use the same three every single time.

5. You’ll discover you’re much stronger than you ever knew. Mostly while moving an enormous cabinet by yourself because nobody else is home and patience has never been your thing.

6. Every project has a stage where you stand back and think, “Well, I’ve absolutely ruined that.”

7. You’ll start slowing down whenever you see furniture on the side of the road. Just looking, obviously.

8. You’ll develop surprisingly strong opinions about drawer handles—and expect other people to care.

9. You’ll only want to make friends with other furniture people because they’re the only ones willing to discuss paint finishes, decoupage paper and the potential of an abandoned buffet for more than four minutes.

10. Finishing one project will not make your furniture pile smaller. Somehow, it only encourages it.

Can you relate? Lol
