Why does Iowa have SO many golf courses?!

Believe it or not… Iowa is often ranked as having the MOST golf courses per capita in the entire United States. Yep… more golf courses per person than places like Florida or Arizona. 😳🌽

Now Florida may win for the total number of golf courses… but Iowa takes the crown when you compare it to population size. With over 400 golf courses spread across our small towns and communities, there’s probably a course closer than your nearest Walmart. 😂

And honestly… it makes sense.
Small town Iowa priorities:
✔️ Grain elevator
✔️ Casey’s
✔️ Water tower
✔️ 9-hole golf course where someone’s grandpa still shoots a 38 every Tuesday morning ⛳🍻

Around here, golf isn’t just a sport… it’s:

business meetings
family time
league night laughs
“accidentally” turning 9 holes into 19 🍺

So next time someone says there’s nothing to do in Iowa… remind them we basically turned the whole state into one giant golf community. 😎🌽

Mullenbach Construction will be CLOSED on Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Monday is more than a long weekend, backyard BBQs, or the start of summer — it’s a day to reflect on the heroes who never made it home and the families who continue to carry their memory forward every single day. ❤️🤍💙

We are forever grateful for the courage, sacrifice, and service of our fallen soldiers and the strength of their families.
