This glass skylight/dome is 100+ years old and needs some TLC‼️

Over the next few weeks, we will remove all the old glazing between the copper and glass and around each fastener. After removal, we will replace it with new glazing and sealant around the fasteners.

The original copper downspouts will be removed and re-soldered, then put back into place. The copper pan at the top of the window will be removed and replaced as well.

Once everything is resealed and installed, we will do a “flood” test to check for leaks! Once sealed we will address the interior damage with drywall and paint.

Lock Construction Solutions, LLC and its team had the opportunity to work with a great homeowner in Sellersburg this past fall.

We were called originally to remove/dry out the back yard, as well as provide an outdoor patio for seating and installation of a new hot tub. We also were asked to install an egress window to allow for an extra bedroom in the basement.

While working toward finishing the original project, we received a large rain and unfortunately, the homeowner's sump pump went out and they ended up with 4” of water in the basement. The entire basement flooring and some of the drywall had to be removed and the basement needed to be dried.

We were able to help them put the basement back together and replace the flooring with LVP and carpet in the bedrooms. We also replaced the existing sump pump and added 2 extras along with a water backup pump and a whole home generator to make sure this didn’t happen again in the future.

This job included several different trades..excavation crews, landscaping crews, electricians, hot tub companies, masons, framers, drywall, flooring, painting, trim, and window manufacturers.

Our team of contractors at Lock Construction Solutions was able to get the job completed and to the homeowner's satisfaction.

We appreciate the patience and support from the homeowner as we continue to be in and out of the home for the last several months.
