Rachel Stokes Artist Artist & Positive Thinker For years while raising her two children, Rachel entertained the idea of taking a stained glass class and finally did so in 2003.

Rachel Stokes first became interested in glass as a young girl sitting in her father’s church basking in the colored light of the stained glass windows. From there, she began to work in mosaics and fused glass, often mixing the two and sometimes incorporating painting into her mosaic artistry. The award winning artist has created commissioned artwork in fused, mosaic and mixed media for clients ac

ross the U.S. and England. She also teaches mosaics, mixed media and motivational workshops from her home studio in Pasadena and from her Galveston cottage. In addition, Rachel has been a visiting artist teaching in many studios and in private homes. Community outreach is another of Rachel's passions and she supports many different non-profit organizations by donating her art and her time including the Galveston Art League, Galveston Island Humane Society, and Access Care of Coastal Texas to name a few. She's sent thousands of fused glass pocket crosses to military personnel stationed in the U.S. and overseas.
