What is an EV charging station and how does it work?
➡️ An electric vehicle (EV) charging station is a specialized infrastructure that provides electric vehicles with the energy they need to recharge their batteries. These stations come in various types, including Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast chargers. Level 1 chargers use a standard household outlet and are the slowest, while Level 2 chargers require higher voltage and offer faster charging. DC fast chargers, found along highways and busy routes, deliver rapid charging by converting AC power to DC directly. EV owners plug their vehicles into the station using a compatible charging cable and connector. The station then delivers the required electric current to the vehicle's battery.
