🔦 Employee Spotlight: Ivan Rodriguez

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Ivan Rodriguez, who has been a valued member of the Caldwell team since July 2022.

💼 Ivan began his journey at Caldwell in the warehouse and has since grown into roles within our Panel Shop and Service Department. Prior to joining Caldwell, he spent a year and a half working in Quality Control at Cargill. Today, Ivan plays an important role in building control panels and supporting projects from concept to completion.

🌟 Ivan takes great pride in the panels he builds and is grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing every day. He enjoys taking a project from a set of prints to a finished panel, knowing it has been built cleanly, safely, and to specification. He also enjoys the problem-solving aspect of the work and collaborating with his team to ensure every project comes together the right way.

🎉 Outside of work, Ivan enjoys spending time with his family, trying new restaurants, and exploring parks they have never visited before. Whether it's discovering a new favorite meal or enjoying a walk outdoors, he values making memories with the people closest to him.

💬 “You don’t get what you wish for; you get what you work for.”

Ivan's quote reflects the mindset he brings to work each day—putting in the effort, continuing to learn, and taking pride in a job well done.

🔦 Employee Spotlight: Woodrow Watkins

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Woodrow Watkins, who brings 11 years of experience in the electrical industry, including the last 6 years as part of the Caldwell team.

💼 Throughout his career, Woodrow has worked across commercial and industrial electrical projects with experience ranging from field installation and construction to project planning, estimating, and project management. Before entering the electrical industry, he proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy, where he developed the discipline, leadership, and problem-solving skills that continue to shape his work today.

🌟 What Woodrow enjoys most about the electrical industry is that no two projects are ever the same. While the core principles stay consistent, every customer, facility, and job site brings new challenges and opportunities to learn. He values the constant problem-solving aspect of the work and the chance to continue improving with every project.

🎉 Outside of work, Woodrow enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing and anything that gets him outside. He also enjoys playing guitar and spending quality time with his family—whether that’s taking his son to Tae Kwon Do classes, going fishing, or finding new adventures together. Recently, they enjoyed a family trip to the botanical gardens and spent the day exploring together.

💬 “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Woodrow believes preparation and planning create opportunities for success in work, family, and life. Even when things don’t go exactly as planned, having a strong foundation gives you something to build and adapt from.
