lue Design works in the greater DC area, and wherever else their clients need them to go. Contact us today for an initial meeting to discuss your project and what we can build together. Our Design Process: working with Tuscan Blue Design
Our projects are all each different with their own unique set of parameters, challenges and client needs. We are a full service-full project design firm and charge a flat project fee per project for the design phase of the project. This flat fee includes the following:
• Initial meeting: the initial appointment is to meet each other, discuss the project, and set the scope of services for the project. We have $195 initial appointment fee to come to your house/site. Or we offer a complimentary initial meeting if you can meet us at our office and bring photos/plans to show us your spaces/project
Note: this fee will be deducted from the flat design fee and noted on the scope of services.
• Scope of Services/Retainer Fee: The next step is for Tuscan Blue to send the prospective client a scope of services for their project. This includes a flat design fee. To move forward with the project we ask for a retainer fee along with the signed scope of services.
• First Design Step: The first design step is for Tuscan Blue to take site notes/measurements and discuss design style with the client (this could be done at the initial appt). The client is to provide a houzz.com ideabook - about 5 images per space to show style, colors, pattern that interest them. Or images from a magazine/online sources to share.
• Initial Design Presentation/Conversation: we like to have an initial design conversation at our office or client home, depending on the project. This is to make sure we are on the right path and we then move forward with additional design and selections.
• Completing the Design: Two or three additional meetings, or site visits, as required for the project. During this time we will be emailing and communicating with you about the design as needed.
• What we provide: Documentation of the design with drawings, notes & specifications as well as a digital presentation plus all samples that pertain to the project.
• How We Stay Connected: Interior designers are always on the go! I prefer e-mail and texting to phone calls, because I’m often out driving, on job sites, or in meetings. However, I am happy to have phone calls to discuss important issues. You’ll get my personal cell # when you sign your contract. You can message me at any time, Monday-Friday 9-5pm. But if it’s after hours and you urgently need to contact me, please do so via e-mail or texting. I feel that if problems arise, they are best handled quickly.
• Meetings: Also, we have a lovely studio, located in downtown Frederick, MD, where we can have meetings by appointment. For projects that require construction, after the design phase, we stay in constant contact with your contractor and make regular site visits to ensure the project is progressing as it should.
