"...And Sewing Is Half the Battle!" A costuming group seen about and throughout the Midwest, ASIHTB enjoys making the fantastic impossible real and 3D. Come play with us!

"...And Sewing Is Half The Battle!" is a cosplay group based in central Indiana (though we love to travel!). We produce costumes for exhibition at various events around the country, and very occasionally provide costuming services for other professional organizations. We also teach workshops on costuming, materials, prop and armor construction, presentation, and more. We love cosplayers and cospla

y, and we particularly love helping newbies get started! There are many free tutorials on our website, and you're welcome to post questions or costume discussion on our page. All we ask is that you be polite and courteous to your fellow costumers. Conventions: We present a variety of panels and seminars for free (see our website for a list), and we'll provide hands-on creative workshops for your event for a nominal per-participant materials fee. We're also happy to judge or host Masquerades and cosplay events.

I was so busy at that I didn't have time to post during the con (presenting panels Friday, judging Saturday daytime, MCing the Masquerade Saturday night, and Masq feedback Sunday), so please enjoy this placeholder photo of my 9-foot-tall heirloom climbing rose, which was in full bloom when I got home. (I planted this bush from cuttings of an elder rose god that was at my last house, and which might be 80+ years old. My yard smells amazing.)

Anyway, ACEN! Despite being isolated in small rooms for most of the con, I did have the chance to reconnect with a lot of returning cosplayers and Masq staff whom I hadn't seen in a long time! It was great to see all of you! We had a great turnout for the Masquerade, and there were so many amazing cosplayers. Congrats to all of you for putting on a fantastic show!

I didn't get any photos of my Island Lobster Link apart from a dark mirror selfie, so I may have to trot that out again at another event. Hopefully I'll be walking by then. 😅
