This one is 13 lbs and can be played on the lap while sitting or supported with adjustable metal legs.
All maple construction
High figure Birdseye Maple veneer
Amber Lacquer finished.
Cream/Black binding on body and fretboard.
22.5” scale matching maple fretboard with black markers and dots.
Console Grande 8 string pickup.
Output jack side mounted
Volume and Tone controls
Custom made polished aluminum bridge with 3/8”+ string spacing
Aluminum nut
Sta-Tite tuners mounted on custom aluminum mounting blocks.
Brass nameplate.
Aluminum leg sockets

This SpeakEasy 8 lapsteel is painted in a 3 tone burst with a modern Urethane finish. Wood for the body and neck is 4A Figured Maple. The Binding on the neck and body is also solid figured maple from the same stock. The solid Ebony fretboard is 22.5" scale and has a Corian nut, white inlayed lines and pearl marker dots. SpeakEasy lap steels all feature a set neck with tenon joint. The bridge is custom made nickel plated brass with 3/8” string spacing. 8 Grover tuners, Nickel plated output jack and
