Stabilization & ground preparation on a North Richland Hills pool build.

The crew applied a flash coat over the excavated walls on September 29. Soil injections followed on September 30 to stabilize expansive soils underneath. This frame is the injection work inside the flashed pool area.

Deck pour day on a Flower Mound pool remodel.

The crew is screeding the new deck out to the forms while the concrete is still workable, with the existing pool sitting right at the edge of the pour. The color on this one goes in at the surface with a hand-broadcast color hardener rather than a stain added later.

Excavation day is where the design leaves the drawing and meets the actual yard.

On this Southlake pool build the excavator is loading spoil straight into the truck as the excavation takes shape against the house. The form boards and layout marks around it hold the shape everything after this gets built to.

A backyard should still get used when the evenings cool off.

In this Trophy Club backyard the sheer descents run into the pool, the fire bowl sits in the water with stools around it, and the fire pit and seating are a few steps away. Designed and built as one project so the pieces work together.

A tanning ledge should feel like part of the patio, not just the watershape and not an afterthought.

In this Westlake backyard, built with Heritage Homes, the ledge sits right off the patio steps with bubblers running on it and the raised spa a few steps away. It's a spot to enter and sit in the water and a feature that catches your eye from inside.
