Rainy mornings, cooler temperatures, and that first little feeling of fall in the air. 🌧️🍂

The garden is slowing down, the chickens are starting their day, and Toby is right there for the morning routine. 🐔🐶🌱

Summer is giving way to a slower season, and we're settling into the changing rhythm of life on the homestead.

It’s the end of September, and the garden is still sharing the love. 🌸🌿

With some rough weather on the way, I brought a few of these blooms inside to enjoy. Roses, dahlias, and a little late-season color from the garden.
Still harvesting. Still growing. Still grateful. 🌱

Every harvest season, we tell ourselves it'll be worth it… and every year we forget just how much work comes after the growing. 😂🌱

Harvesting, processing, cooking, preserving, finding a place for ALL of it… and somehow doing it all over again. 🫠

By the end, we're all Toby. 😂🐾
