Election Day Reminder: Campaigning at the Polls
As we prepare for Election Day in Ferrisburgh on November 3, please remember Vermont's rules for campaigning at the polling place.
• Inside the polling place: No campaigning is permitted. Please cover campaign shirts and remove campaign buttons, hats, and other political paraphernalia before entering.
• Keep campaign conversations outside: Discussions promoting candidates or ballot questions must take place outside the polling place. Voters may bring written materials for their own personal use in the voting booth.
• Campaigning outside: Candidates, supporters, and pollsters must remain in the areas designated by the Presiding Officer/Town Clerk.
• Keep pathways clear: Do not block entrances, walkways, driveways, accessible routes, or voters entering and leaving the polling place. Campaign activity must not interfere with anyone's ability to vote.
• Political signs: Signs must be placed only in designated areas (by the Ferrisburgh Town Office & Community Center sign on the grass area only), may not be attached to any town buildings, and must be removed when the polls close, in accordance with Ferrisburgh's polling-place rules.
Anyone who does not follow polling-place rules may be directed to stop the activity or leave the premises.
Thank you for helping ensure a safe, orderly, and respectful voting experience for everyone!
