This made me laugh. On almost every new construction job we are asked about when we should start. My answer is the same every time.

After every piece of trim, every cabinet, every door is installed. Not only is it near impossible to schedule a trip back to finish one or two things, it also cost us a lot of money. Also I’m yet to see a single carpenter or electrician that can work in a finished house without messing up the ceilings and walls meaning we have to touch up and fix many areas. If you want the best job in the shortest amount of time, let us be last!

As hard as it is to be inside this time of year, new construction schedules are all over the place and we get our spot when the spot falls. Take a look at this beautiful home. This is the best built home I’ve seen in at least 10 years. This is what this house looks like before I showed up to paint this guy did everything I asked, every single thing we needed finished is finished and there’s not a speck of dust on this floor. That’s incredible. That never happens. Thanks Mr and Mrs Reinbold! And thanks for trusting us with your home! Can’t wait to show the final product even though it already looks like it’s there.

Never a dull moment in the life of a painter! This morning we finished some epoxy, and now we’re on to this massive bench and trash can project.

All freshly sand blasted.

Rust inhibitor for the prime. And several coats of black. These things weigh at least 200 lbs each. Not bad for an afternoon!

Buying time!

One of the challenges with high performance concrete coating is working time. From the time we mix the material together we get about 20 minutes max. In that 20 min we mix (3min) pour, spread with a notched squeegee, roll even, and throw the flake.

No room for error, no redo, we get one shot. Hot temps cost us 5 min working time.

So we’re gonna cool it down. 🥶

This one gets cracks repaired, walls and ceiling painted, and an incredible floor that will hold up against the elements! 100% full flake broadcast with Polyaspartic topcoat. The slab is getting expansion joints and it’s going to be a brand new place. Can’t wait to show the final pics!
