This was one of my favorite jobs I’ve done to date. This historic home sits in clarkston and is incredible. This was done probably 15 years ago. I wish I had before pics but this brick had multiple layers of paint that we stripped off. It was an intense process but extremely satisfying. One of the many jobs that shaped how we operate today!

House and shed were stained using sikkens log and siding with certol. One of the best wood protection products on the market.

Trends of home fashion have changed numerous times in my lifetime alone. For years anywhere you went with Wallpaper someone was willing to pay you to remove it. They hated it., they were scared of it, and they knew it was nothing but damage underneath. And the Unknown was how hard would it be to get to that damage?

Fast-forward about 30 years, and now we install Wallpaper I personally enjoy it and love the drastic patterns and amazing accents you can create. And there aren’t that many people that do it.

Customer: Do you think you’ll be able to match the knockdown texture?

IWT: Sure can, Ironically I personally sprayed the texture in this entire subdivision 24 years ago.

This time of year is tough for exterior painting. We were rained out several days, by the time it cleared our masking all came off! Surface is wet until 10:30 because of dew, we have to quit early because of dew, that’s on a nice day.

But we did it and it came out beautiful. It may make the schedule seem impossible, but the patience (or lack of) paid off.

Many moons ago when I started this business, I worked hard for another painting company. I made decent money and had plenty of work to do.

But I had kids. Briele and Caiden were babies and I didn’t want to miss their events. That’s what drive me to take the leap. I needed to control my schedule.

Turns out controlling a schedule for a small painting business was a mere fantasy! But what I could do is show up for every event. The same holds true today and I wouldn’t want it any other way!

Mechanical grind, meticulously prepped, timed perfectly with the weather and we got to the finish line.

There are so many variables that affect these materials. Surface temperature, dewpoint, humidity, and a working time of about 15 minutes. The one done correctly the finish product will last for many years. Chemical resistant, ultraviolet resistant, you can’t scratch it, and it looks nice.

This floor has been quite the adventure! The cement was very hard and very tough to grind, we also had to remove a failed coating. Unfortunately only some spots failed and the spots we had to remove that didn’t fail, were stuck hard harder than I’ve ever seen. But with the right equipment, the right prep is possible!

With the right system, this floor will last for many years. 

One way or another, we’ll get up there!
