Fell off the ladder when nobody was around.

Had to crawl to the first aid kit by myself like a wounded raccoon that got into the wrong dumpster.

The whole way I was thinking, "This is either gonna be a workers' comp claim or the most embarrassing death ever."

You ever have one of those days where the mailman shows up and suddenly your whole mood changes?

Got a surprise package from Atlas 46 today, and it felt like Christmas morning for us sparkys. Nothing better than opening a box and finding gear that's built for the trades by people who actually understand what we put it through every day.

Now the real challenge begins... trying not to immediately load every pouch, tool, and random fitting I own into it.

Big thanks to Atlas 46 for the surprise. We can't wait to put it to work and see how long it takes before I overload it with "just one more thing."

Follow and check out atlas46.com for more sweet gear made in the USA! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸŽ‰ WE HAVE A WINNER! πŸŽ‰

The giveaway has officially come to an end, and after reviewing all the entries, arguing with the apprentices, consulting the wire stretcher, and performing a completely scientific selection process...

πŸ† Congratulations to πŸ†

You've won the Jonard Tools Heavy Duty Wire Stripping Pliers (10–16 AWG)! πŸ”₯

Shoot me a DM so we can get your prize headed your way.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, liked, shared, tagged their coworkers, and exposed that one guy who strips wire with the precision of a beaver chewing through a tree.

And of course, thank you to Jonard Tools () for sponsoring this giveaway and supporting the trades.

Don't worry if you didn't win this one. There will be more giveaways coming soon, so keep an eye on the page.

Until then, stay safe, work hard, and try not to nick the copper.

Trusting my apprentice to verify a circuit is dead is like sending Jar Jar Binks to defuse a thermal detonator.

Technically there's a chance it'll work...
..but my st*****rs are betting against it. ⚑πŸ’₯

Boss: "Need a few guys this weekend."

Me: "I had plans."

Boss: "Double time."

Me: "Those plans were stupid anyway."

06/12/2026

Me: "Do exactly what I just showed you."

Apprentice: "Copy that."

Immediately invents a brand-new way to do it wrong.

It's impressive, honestly.

Boss: "We need to figure this out."

Me, looking at the clock on Friday afternoon: "I agree. Whoever's here Monday should definitely get on that."

Me in the porta john staring into the mirror:

"You are strong. You are capable. You are a professional."

gets back to work

"Where's my tape measure?"

It's hanging from my belt.

β˜‘ Amateur lawyer
β˜‘ Complaint department
β˜‘ Human GPS for lost apprentices
β˜‘ Professional "Have you called the hall yet?" asker

Meanwhile they're still expected to bend conduit and do their actual job.

The steward's plate isn't full anymore. It's got a second story addition and failed inspection three times.

Getting caught by Safety without your PPE feels like getting caught sneaking back into the house at 2 AM.

You know you're busted.
You know there's no good excuse.
And somehow you're still gonna try one anyway.
