As the owner and operator of BP Custom Homeworks, I've decided to turn the page in my professional career and start a new chapter with another company. Spent some time the last couple weeks helping a client in Eden Prairie turn a den/living area into a home office! Took what was a drywalled opening and framed it in to have a 32" door, custom matching the millwork to the rest of the house. Reach out to see how we can help you!

Finished up an awesome custom stained, poplar nickel-gap fireplace build-out for a client in Farmington today and we couldn't be happier with the end result! We started with just a blank canvas of a wall, and between the client's ideas and our expertise, we were able to create this awesome feature in their home that is stylish and functional with no invasive measures needed to accomplish it. Strong and structural, yet can be removed and changed with the times if needed.

Got to do a little work on a house in Lake of the Isles in Minneapolis this last week adding some much needed railings to an area that's never had them! These clients welcomed a new child into their lives a little while ago and did this as a precaution for the future.

A previous homeowner left the current homeowners a doozy of a project to finish. The current homeowners, with the help of BP Custom Homeworks , were able to finally complete this DIY fireplace surround and make it look great!

We've been working on a project in West Bloomington, and we had to showcase this feature we added. The client wanted a built-in lighting feature, so we added an LED backlit crown molding feature which adds warm and indirect lighting. This feature is turned on and off and dimmable with voice controls via your favorite electronic assistant (Alexa, Google Home, etc.) and also has a hard-wired switch for controls as well. This client decided to go with the standard white light, but RBG is also an option if different color features were desired. We can't wait for it all to get painted so we can showcase every feature of this project!🤗

Finished up a condo cabinet job up in St. Paul this week and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! The client was as well! We removed the old kitchen and bath cabinets and soffits to accommodate the new, taller upper cabinets. Removed the safety tub to replace it with a tile shower. We also recommended the other trades to the homeowner with trusted partners we work with to accomplish this wonderful project. We installed the new cabinets provided by a trusted cabinet company, and also did all of the new appliance assembly and install as well as any other detailed items necessary.

It's been a very busy past 18 months and it's just now seeming to slow down a bit. We've been doing a lot of millwork upgrades as well as kitchen and bathroom upgrades recently and looking to fill up the remaining days of this year and into 2025 with some more home improvements!

Worked on a fun railing, newel post and baluster install project in Eden Prairie this past week that really made the baluster layout a challenge. An interior designer designed the layout with straight and oval decorative iron balusters in such a way that any error in measurement would've created a crooked look as everything was so close together. As you can see, we nailed it using some math and lasers to get the design exact!

A quick little modern update from the old wooden 1-1/4" balusters to some 1/2" wrought iron balusters. Kept the existing newel posts and upper/lower rails, but got rid of the pyramid newel tops and modified them to work with some modern square custom made caps. Most of the time, we can make huge visual improvements with small actual changes.
