If you work in town planning in Fiji, you know the feeling.

You're being asked to make decisions about where our towns grow — but the maps you're working from are years out of date. New settlements have appeared in Nasinu, Lami, and along the Nadi corridor. Roads have been extended. Low-lying areas that weren't built up before now are.

And you're expected to plan around all of it.
