One job can quickly turn into something much bigger.
I was called out for what looked like a simple drywall repair, but once I opened the wall, I found water behind it. The real culprit was a leaking shower valve.
Fortunately, it appears the leak was caught early. Aside from the drywall, there was very little water damage. Using an oversized repair trim kit, I was able to enlarge the opening in the tile, remove the old valve, install new piping, and replace the valve—all without tearing out the entire shower.
What could have turned into a costly full shower remodel was repaired and back in service in just one day.
If you notice water stains, soft drywall, peeling paint, or any signs of moisture, don't ignore them. A small leak can quietly cause thousands of dollars in damage over time. Calling a contractor early can save you a lot of money—and a lot of headaches.
