2024- This was our first truck.

At the time, it was just a truck.
We had no idea what it would eventually turn into.
Neither of us came from money. We didn’t inherit a trucking company, money, a customer list or a family name that opened doors for us.

We came to Whatcom County from southern Oregon with no connections here and started building a life from scratch.

Both of us came from backgrounds with more instability than opportunity.
Dysfunction, addiction, foster care, homelessness, and abuse were familiar parts of both of our childhoods.

So when we bought this truck, we weren’t following some carefully mapped out business plan.
We were trying to build something.
Something stable for our children, so they didn’t struggle in the same ways we did.

A couple years later, there are a few more trucks in the yard, employees counting on us, families supported by the work that comes through this company, and projects all over the region that our trucks have had a hand in.

At the time, we had no idea what this one truck would eventually turn into.

We’ve spent a good part of the summer hauling asphalt for the SR 9/SR 547 project.

A couple months of hauling asphalt, a whole lot of loads, and a much smoother commute to show for it.

Some of these stretches were last paved in 1998 😮 which makes being part of this project feel a little more significant.
