"How much does a bathroom remodel cost in the Augusta area?"

It's the #1 question we get, so here's an honest answer. ๐Ÿ‘‡

The truth: there's no flat price, because a remodel depends on a handful of real factors.

Here's what actually drives the number:

๐Ÿšฟ Scope โ€” a tub-to-shower swap vs. a full down-to-the-studs remodel

๐Ÿงฑ Materials โ€” tile, fixtures, vanity, and countertop choices

๐Ÿ”ง What's behind the walls โ€” old plumbing or water damage adds work

๐Ÿ“ Size and layout changes

โ™ฟ Any accessibility or aging-in-place upgrades

Anyone who quotes you a firm price before seeing your bathroom is guessing.

We come out, look at the actual space, and give you a free written estimate with no pressure and no surprises later.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Thinking about a remodel?

Drop a ๐Ÿ› below or reach out and we'll get you a real number.

๐Ÿ’ฌ "They fixed what another contractor messed up and actually finished the job."

That's a real thing a customer said to us, and honestly?

It might be our favorite kind of compliment.

Not because it was flashy, but because it's exactly what we're trying to be known for. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Here's the truth about what we do: we're not the flashy option.

We're not going to dazzle you with a slick sales pitch or promise you the moon on an impossible timeline.

What we ARE is dependable and in this trade, especially right now, dependable is rarer and more valuable than flashy will ever be.

Think about the projects that actually stress people out:

๐Ÿ› A remodel where you're trusting someone in your home for weeks

๐Ÿ”จ A storm rebuild where your family's safety is literally on the line

๐Ÿšช Fixing a job someone else left half-done, when you're already gun-shy from being burned once!

Those aren't jobs you want to hand to the cheapest bid or the loudest ad.

Those are jobs you want to hand to people who'll show up, communicate, do it right, and stand behind the work when it's done.

That's the entire reason we exist. โค๏ธ

Our goal on every single project is simple: work we're genuinely proud to put our name on, and a neighbor who'd recommend us to their own family without hesitating.

When we hit that, everybody wins.

So if you've got something on your list: a project, a repair, a "can this even be fixed?" situation, there's zero pressure here.

Reach out, tell us what's going on, and we'll come take a look and give you an honest answer.

Even if the honest answer is "here's what we'd do" and you decide to think on it, that's completely fine. ๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ‘‹ Let's pull the curtain back for a second, because we think it matters who you're actually inviting into your home.

There's no big corporate office behind VaughnCo.

No 1-800 number that routes you to another state.

No account manager three time zones away who's never seen your street. ๐Ÿšซ

It's a local family and a hard-working crew.

That's the whole company. โค๏ธ

When you call, you get us.

When we say we'll be there Tuesday, we're there Tuesday.

When there's a problem on a job, we don't hide behind a phone tree, we come look at it, we own it, and we make it right.

Because in a community like ours, your name and your reputation aren't marketing assets.

They're everything.

We run into our customers at the grocery store, at church, at the ballfield.

That keeps us honest in a way no corporate policy ever could. ๐Ÿ’ช

We got into this work because we're genuinely good at it and we take pride in it, the kind of pride where we'll re-cut a board three times to get a seam right that most people would never even notice.

But we stay in it because of the people.

There's nothing like handing a family back a home that a storm tried to take from them, or watching someone see their finished bathroom for the first time. ๐Ÿฅน

That's the job. Not just the building, the people we get to do it for.

๐Ÿ’ฌ So do us a favor and say hi: tell us what part of the CSRA you're in (just the area, no address needed!).

We honestly love seeing how many neighbors we're connected to across this community. ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ›‘ Before you hand ANY contractor a deposit, please read this all the way through.

It could save you thousands of dollars and a whole lot of heartache.

We say this as people who make our living in this trade: the hardest jobs we take on aren't storm damage.

They're the homes where a homeowner already paid someone else, got burned, and now has to pay twice to make it right.

We've seen it too many times, especially after Helene, and it makes us furious every time. ๐Ÿ˜ค

So here's the honest, no-BS list of red flags. If you see these, walk away, no matter how nice the person seems ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿšฉ They want a big cash deposit upfront.

A little to secure materials is normal.

Handing over half the total in cash before work starts?

That's how people disappear.

๐Ÿšฉ "I just happened to be working in your neighborhood."

Legit contractors are booked out.

The ones cruising for door-to-door work right after a storm are usually the ones you want to avoid.

๐Ÿšฉ No license, no insurance, no written estimate.

If they can't or won't show you proof they're licensed and insured, that's your answer.

When something goes wrong on an uninsured job, YOU can end up on the hook.

๐Ÿšฉ High-pressure "sign today or the price goes up."

Real pros give you room to think, get other quotes, and talk to your family.

Pressure is a tactic, not a courtesy.

๐Ÿšฉ They can't give you a single local reference.

Someone who's done good work in your area has people who'll vouch for them. Ask.

Then actually call.

๐Ÿšฉ The quote is dramatically lower than everyone else's.

If it seems too good to be true, it's usually because corners are about to get cut somewhere you can't see, until it fails.

Here's the flip side, so you know what GOOD looks like: a solid contractor will happily hand you their license and insurance info, give you everything in writing, answer your questions without getting weird, and never once make you feel rushed.

โœ… That's not going above and beyond โ€” that's just the baseline.

Protect yourself. And please, ๐Ÿ” share this so a neighbor doesn't learn it the hard way.

Here is a flooring job done by a previous contractor that we were hired to
fix. ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿ™Œ Here's something you don't hear a lot of businesses admit: we'd genuinely rather earn ONE neighbor's trust than shout at a thousand strangers.

That's not a marketing line.

It's actually how we've built our business.

We're not a giant franchise with a call center and a billboard budget.

We're a local, family-run crew, and just about every good job we've ever gotten came from one person telling another person, "heyโ€ฆ.. call them, they'll take care of you." ๐Ÿค

Word of mouth is our whole engine.

So today, we've got a small ask.

If we've ever done right by you โ€”
or even if you've never hired us but you just believe in backing local, family-owned businesses over the big out-of-town guys, would you do this one thing? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Tag someone in the comments who's been putting off a home project. ๐Ÿท๏ธ

You know exactly who it is:

๐Ÿ› The friend with the bathroom stuck in another decade

๐Ÿชต The neighbor whose deck is one bad step from a lawsuit

๐Ÿšช The family still living around storm damage they haven't tackled

๐Ÿ”จ The person who got burned by a bad contractor and is scared to try again

Tag them.

That's it.

No obligation, for them or for you.

But that one tag might be exactly how they find a crew they can finally trust and there's a real chance it changes their whole year. โค๏ธ

Big project or small repair, we treat every single home like it's our own.

That's the promise.

๐ŸŒณ Real talk, CSRA neighbors.

How's your home actually holding up since Helene?

We ask because we've been in a LOT of these homes, and we know the truth: recovery hasn't been a straight line for anybody.

Some of you are fully repaired and finally breathing easy again. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Some of you are still stuck in the insurance back-and-forth, the estimates, the adjusters, the "we'll need more documentation," the waiting. ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

And some of you got the worst of it: a crew that showed up right after the storm, took a deposit, did half the work (or none of it), and vanished.

If that's you, please know thisโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ you're not stupid, you're not alone, and it happened to a lot of good people.

The chaos after a disaster is exactly when the bad actors come out. ๐Ÿ˜ž

Wherever you are in this, we want you to hear one thing: it is NOT too late to get your home whole again.

We've walked into homes months after the storm, tree still through the roof, tarp still flapping and turned them back into the place a family is proud to come home to.

The timeline doesn't disqualify you. The situation isn't hopeless.

๐Ÿ’ฌ So let's check in on each other:

๐Ÿ™‹ Drop a raised hand if you're still working through repairs

โœ… Drop a checkmark if you're all done, so the folks still in it can see that recovery really does happen

Read the comments.

Encourage each other.

This community showed up for itself after the storm, and it's still showing up now. ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒง๏ธ CSRA homeownersโ€ฆโ€ฆsave this one.

It takes about 10 minutes and it could save you thousands.

If Hurricane Helene taught our community anything, it's that the small stuff you ignore becomes the big stuff you pay for.

We spent months after the storm repairing homes where a little bit of prevention would have made a world of difference and a lot of those repairs traced back to things a homeowner could have caught in a quick walk-around.

So before the next big system rolls through, grab a cup of coffee and take a slow lap around your house.

Here's exactly what to look for ๐Ÿ‘‡

๐ŸŒณ Trees & limbs: Any dead, leaning, or overhanging trees near the house or power lines?

Those are the ones that come through a roof in high wind.

Note them now so you can get them handled before storm season peaks.

๐Ÿ’ง Gutters & drainage: Are your gutters clear and actually carrying water away from the house?

Clogged gutters send water straight down your foundation, and that's where the expensive problems start.

๐Ÿ  Siding & roof: Walk the perimeter and look up.

Any lifted shingles, loose siding, or gaps where wind can get underneath?

Once wind catches an edge, it peels.

โ›ฐ๏ธ Ground slope: Look at the dirt right around your foundation.

Does the ground slope AWAY from the house?

If it slopes toward it, water is pooling exactly where you don't want it.

๐Ÿšช Doors & windows: Check the seals.

Small drafts now become water intrusion in a driving rain.

None of this requires a ladder or a contractorโ€ฆโ€ฆ.just your eyes and a few minutes.

And if your walk-around turns up something that makes you go "uh oh," that's what folks like us are here for. ๐Ÿ™

Do the lap this weekend.

Future-you will be grateful. ๐Ÿ“Œ And share this with a neighbor who needs the nudge.
