BEFORE & AFTER

This project included demolishing and removing a failed cinder block retaining wall, hauling off the old block, excavating the hillside, and using the excavated material to level off the yard.

A footer ditch was excavated and a compacted gravel footing installed. As the retaining wall was constructed, geotextile non-woven fabric, French drain pipe, and clean gravel backfill were installed behind the wall to provide long-term drainage and stability.

Once the wall was completed, the area was finish graded, topsoil installed, seeded, and strawed. A gravel parking area was also installed and plate compacted.

From demolition and excavation to drainage, retaining wall construction, grading, topsoil, seeding, and gravel installation, our team completed every phase of this project from start to finish.

A lot of work went into this one, but the before and after photos tell the story.

Another project in the books.

It’s always fun when a project starts as lines on the ground and begins taking shape.

Today we excavated a stepped arched footer for a stone retaining wall. Projects like these require more than just digging a trench. There was plenty of measuring, checking elevations, and working through the curves to ensure everything followed the terrain the way it was designed.

Proper layout, grade control, and clean transitions are critical to giving the wall a solid foundation and a finished look that flows naturally with the property.
The finished wall will be the part everyone notices, but like most things in construction, the foundation is where the real work begins.

Did you know that right after a good rain is the best time to repair a dirt road.
Three reasons why:
First, you know the damage and ditch issues… Second, the ground is wet and easy to move. When you’re lucky enough to have sun in the forecast, thirds a charm! Road will dry nice and solid.
