Had a service call at this location yesterday late air-conditioning unit not working properly found a 24 V transformer only putting out 19 V AC input was 238 transformer was hot as a firecracker so I went ahead and replaced transformer. Everything fired up working beautiful and I threw a vacuum on like I always do just as a precaution well in this case all I did was stir up the muck. I got a call today and came back out and this is what I found. Oops.
The fun part I get to move his two supercars every time I’m here there’s nothing like the rumble of a V-8

Welp, the grout lines are filled and it’s time to clean up and start putting flooring down

Well, a difficult decision had to be made. Vinyl is relatively forgiving. It has a minimal expansion rate. It doesn’t like to absorb moisture. It makes it very good for bare edges like sliding doors, but due to the fact that this particular section will be exposed to sunlight, and because it is a quality product with a very long-term warranty, I’ve made the decision to fill the grout seems. It’s an expensive decision. It’s gonna put me back on time a little bit, but it’s the right choice. What do you guys think? Would you be concerned about drooping in the grout lines?

So the customer opted to do the flooring over the old tile. There was a section of ornate tile work in the kitchen that unfortunately I had to remove because of the height. After removing all of the tiles, I poured and leveled the location. I also built a ramp that Allows us to keep the vinyl flooring seamless and continuous without having to demo the old tile in the kitchen area!
After the floors are done, I’m gonna be moving onto marble large format. This will be fun.

Oh the joy of dealing with a pool light conduit problem. I genuinely just love digging in the hot sun all day. But in all seriousness, this is a pretty intense job. I am repairing almost every piece of equipment the water leveling system has a failed circuit board no output on sensing or load. The multisensor for the chlorinator was bad. The controller that goes next to the spa was bad. I have bad check valves. I did the pump and gas pool heater about a year and a half ago my favorite part about doing this kind of stuff is that I can save my customer a lot of money all while making very good days pay. I’m lucky to have the customers that I have. They’re the best

 Replace some sensors on the chlorination system installed some new RGB lighting working out a problem with the Jandy level system gotta order some parts got a bad circuit board. Been a pretty good day all things considered feeling grateful and fortunate to have great customers.

Hurricane House update

Been busy with this project it’s a volunteer project. I’ve been doing well not totally. I was fortunate enough to raise about $2200 on GoFundMe, which is allowed me to get the water system going tomorrow. I have to sleeve the well and concrete it and re-pipe it get the new pump in

So I’m making this post and adding these photographs this is part of my GoFundMe campaign, where I’m trying to bring a home that was damaged by hurricane Ian up to a livable condition for a disabled mother and the daughter that takes care of her. You can see here we started out with just raw framing, and at this point, we’ve got some drywall up. We’ve got one toilet there’s still no hot water and the water supply is currently coming from the neighbors home thank goodness for them. tomorrow I’m going to inspect the well itself to see whether or not it’s still usable. I’m hoping it is.
