The convention wrapped up. The work continues.

Last week, the 41st IBEW International Convention brought delegates together in San Diego to help shape our union’s future. Here are three highlights worth knowing:

- Supporting members and families. Delegates approved pension and death benefit improvements through the IBEW Pension Benefit Fund for “A” members, alongside scheduled contribution increases.

- Growing the Brotherhood. Convention discussions emphasized organizing more electrical workers and working toward the IBEW’s goal of 1 million members—strengthening our collective voice on the job and in our communities.

- Developing tomorrow’s leaders. The RENEW/NextGen gathering emphasized helping younger members get involved, build leadership skills, and carry our union forward.

For Local 602, that future starts with members who show up, share their experience, and look out for one another.
