Today we finished a patio someone else had started and left the customer stuck with unfinished work. Also butting up to a pre existing patio. Personally if I would have been in control since the start I would have tore out the old patio and completely redone everything with a fresh base. I absolutely hate working with someone else base and edge. Its also easier to do one continuous run rather than butting up to the old patio.
