Let’s talk curb appeal! This is one of the most important parts of your home whether you are selling, buying or just wanting to update those old or weather beaten structures its what people see first hand before anything else. Well on this project Morris Brother’s recently got the opportunity to update this customers! Scope of work included tearing out 6 old rotted out posts and railings on this front porch then replacing with 2 brand new pressure treated 4x4s now structurally holding the porch and then wrapped in custom cut PVC casing, moulding and finally adding PVC railings to match this updated look! The other two parts of this project included tearing out 4 bottom portions of rotted brick moulding around garage casing and replacing with Brand new PVC brick moulding to match existing. The last portion was a custom built mailbox! All Pressure treated lumber cut and put together by us as well as a planted box surrounding the mailbox after it was set in concrete to give it that modern look! The final touch was painting it all with color matched paint rated for this exterior use to give it that final shining look and long lasting protection! This project brought a new Bright, weather resistant and long lasting touch to this home, these repairs may look like nothing in the beginning but its the first thing peoples eyes catch when they step up to your home. Back at again down here in Mount Holly, PA with our friends over at Golden Laurel Piercing putting in some more lights for the studio!💡 Morris Brother’s got to work on this project in which the scope included running a new dedicated breaker circuit, running brand new wire for 2 outlets in the ceiling, 3 unused wall switches which will then power side 1, side 2 and tilt light each on their own switch and a junction box. This box would would then power 4 groups of 3 count custom mounted track fed grow lights on the ceiling grid. Each ceiling fixture was mounted through the grid and properly attached to the ceiling joists above and to the grid for proper support. Included in this project was also an additional tilt light fixture connected on the circuit and on the beam to project some extra light to the plants in this studio. This project turned out awesome and was a great way to show the plants some love and to also bring some light down on their Fabulous selection of body jewelry they have on display. Another exterior job in the books for the Morris Brother’s! Scope of work on this project included on the first side installing f- channel and j channel beneath roof line, blocking in and installing over 8 ft of vinyl soffit and brand new facia as well as some custom bent coil stock! In the second side we replaced the top undercut piece of facia and added coil stock to the birdbox to keep water and bugs out! Moving down to the basement we proceeded to tear out 2 old windows fully and replaced with 2 brand new vinyl replacement hopper windows and added pressure treated frames to case them in. Everything caulked and water tight. These repairs may not be seen from the curb but exterior repairs like this keep the water out, bees and bugs away and your structure lasting longer to those harsh season changes. Pre- sell punch list and projects, Something Morris Brother’s gets called for often. People needing those last few things done before they put up that for sale sign. This project scope was a little larger but in this phase we tore off old aluminum siding and old damaged siding. Proceeding to then wrapping and properly overlapping the old house wrap with new wrap to shed water after the old rim joist that has been exposed for 2 years since the deck was torn off. After this we added a new ledger board for the new steps we will put in and properly lapped, zip taped and added metal flashing to water-proof the ledger. Proceeding to then bury two posts and adding custom built up to code egress steps out of PT wood. (customer will stain)
This job wrapped up with fresh siding to cover up the new wrap, removal of an outside light and circuit and finally fixing a gfci that wouldn't hook up properly. Don't let these issues go through selling tackle them before to give that house a shine for those new owners! (A special thanks to this family for a 5 star review and more work upcoming here soon!)

Rainy start to the week but Morris Brother’s still got it done! Customer called and asked if we could repair some deck boards until they are ready to do a full replacement of course we can! Scope of work included tearing off 10-11 deck boards that had viable rot and or gouges in them and disposing of said boards, Re-cutting and replacing with brand new Pressure treated 5 1/4” deck boards with brand new fasteners. After all new were in place we then topped it off with painting these deck boards with an exact color match specifically designed deck paint! Sometimes maintaining what you have will get you a few more years before you are ready for that big project and Morris Brothers are happy to help preserve and maintain your home until future work is ready!

Coming at you with a full custom half wall bar top build this week designed and built by the Morris Brother’s! Scope of work on this project includes custom cutting,sanding, staining, and poly coating butcher block bar top and support brackets for underneath to hold weight for the bar top. Project also included installing blocking underneath bar top to bring some height to our build covering our blocking we also painted and installed 1x8 square stock base to give a finished modern look topping this project off with support brackets underneath to hold our bar top supports and touch up paint for the whole wall! Huge shout out to this family for trusting the process and giving Morris brothers the opportunity to design for them, this bar top will serve many meals and gatherings for years to come and is now a staple piece in this in this lovely kitchen. Taking an unused piece of space and turning it into something that can serve a purpose is what we do best!

Morris Bro’s teamed up with Porters Masonry to rehab this old chimney and window sill recently! Scope of work included tearing off old parge coat on chimney and window sill, filling cracks in block and securing window sill block, we then proceeded to double parge both the chimney and window sill creating a smooth finish that the customer will be able to paint to match the residence! This project we also added a brand new crown on the top of the chimney sealed properly and maintained for future years to come! A properly sealed and maintained project adds value and security to your home giving you piece of mind for the future.

Earlier last week The Morris Brother’s got the opportunity to tackle yet another flooring project! Scope of work included:

✔️- Tearing up old linoleum with burn holes and other tears in it

✔️-Laying down new moisture barrier and taping/properly water sealing all joints and ends

✔️- Carefully removing current baseboards to properly run floor as well as removing transitions to re-use putting new fasteners in for added strength

✔️- Installing brand new 9in x 4ft LVP flooring w/ added v***r barrier already on the plank

✔️- Installing cabinet matched quarter round for expansion joint coverage and a more completed look

✔️- Re-installing baseboards and caulking for customer to later paint

✔️- Finally disposing of old material and putting appliances back in place and final
Wipe down of floor!

This transformation only took a total of an 8 hour day! Day and night transformation on this project giving this customer the confidence in the now new kitchen floor and a water tight seal that will last!

Last Sunday the Morris Brother’s getting after it on a small shed roof! Scope of work included tear off of old 3 tab rotted and mossy shingles as well as taking off broken drip edge , then replacing with brand new white drip edge including brand new underlayment since the previous roof didn’t even have any! Then finally proceeded to install charcoal black architectural shingles and caps ! This new roof will now add a layer of water protection since there was no underlayment before and brand new fresh look and as well as UV protection for years to come. From old mossy and tore up to new, fresh and secure this roof will continuing creating a stable and water secure structure for these homeowners and their outside belongings. Morris brothers will always take pride in constructing and renovating your assets!
