Went to reset a curb on a shower today and when I got it all torn apart found some issues. First the waterproofing did not wrap the curb. Then the waterproofing was not sealed together. The cement board was set below the shower pan and not sealed which allows water in. The wood for the curb was set about 1/4 higher then the shower pan. Minimum height should be 4 inches. Had to stop and let the customer know that the shower pan and wall board behind the tile will need to be replaced.
