Here's a little tilling job we had at a property in Mitchell. A portion of this yard has had a tough time growing, so Green Solution Hydroseeding is going to come in and lay down a nice mat of great grass!

The best part? (Besides doing what we LOVE!) The gentleman that we did the work for knew my dad very well and listened to him play in many different bands for several years. I shared with him that I currently play with the Bad Habits Band out of Mitchell, and we had a great discussion.

We love doing this work, but getting to meet and talk with folks that have lived in the area as long and longer than me is always a treat!

We're back to hydroseeding with our friends at Green Solution Hydroseeding! We took a bit of a hydroseeding break when we were experiencing such dry weather with extremely high temperature and heat index readings. Now that the weather has calmed a bit and we're starting to slide into fall (Already!), we are back at it!

This was a small job in Mitchell. This customer built a new garage and wanted to spruce the yard back up after construction was completed. With some regular watering, this will be a beautiful mat of luxurious grass within a couple of short weeks!

We've got more hydroseeding projects on the horizon, in addition to hauling some bulk mulch for a new client but a longtime friend, we have some larger brush hog mowing jobs, a couple of stumps to grind, and some other odds and ends to finish up.

Even though it's August, we're going to talk about ❄️SNOW❄️ very shortly! It's never too early to get on the snow removal list. It WILL fill up fast! We'll have a post about that in the near future.

Today was mowing day, but we had a call with an urgent need. We were referred to a realtor through a very good customer (And longtime friend!) for a job that they needed done ASAP (Like, TODAY). We were already in town for our mowing clients, but I told her we'd do our absolute best to get it taken care of.

Normally, this type of job would be done with the Kioti and dump trailer. Since we already had the flat bed, we made due. We also found a very helpful gentleman with a skid loader for a little help.

We got the junk loaded up, manually (🥵) transferred to the dump trailer, and it'll be ready to go to the dump!

While we may not be able to make EVERY situation work immediately, but we'll do our absolute best!

It has been a BUSY couple of weeks! So busy that it's been a hot minute since our last post. 😬

We've done quite a bit of brush hogging as you can see. One is a many times repeat customer in Mitchell. The other is a repeat customer from the Spencer area. We put in a new pasture, to include planting pasture grass mix. It took off great, and got ahead of what she could keep up with with her mower. We brought guy brush hog in to make it manageable again!

We've also been working on putting in 2 driveways for a new client. We've hauled dozens of loads of dirt/gravel. Next will be burying the culverts and smoothing it all out. We've taken several pictures and will post them when it's done!

We're taking a few very well deserved days off to attend the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. We'll still take calls as we can as well as answer emails, voicemails and texts. We'll hit the ground running next week and get back at it!

This project was done for a very good realtor friend of mine. She's working on closing on a home for a customer. Some trees were trimmed, but she needed help with disposing of not only the debris from that, but also an old wood pile behind the garage.

We came in with the Stihl chainsaw and the dump trailer. 2 loads, and over 3,300 pounds of wood later, the cleanup is complete!

This was a pretty large several day project. This is a new build, and as you can see by the first couple of pictures, the yard needed some significant leveling and smoothing out.

We brought in a total of 10 7x16 dump trailer loads of good, clean black dirt. We used the Kioti to relocate dirt where needed around portions of the foundation of the home as well as by the septic tank. The rest was used to fill in a newly ran section of water pipe that had settled in and to level and smooth out the front yard area.

After moving the dirt where it needed to be, several passes were made with the Frontier Soil Pulverizer in order to both level and smooth the new dirt. This also breaks up any clumps in the dirt and leaves a perfect bed for seeding.

We have LOTS more cool projects coming up share with you! Putting in a couple of driveways, some hydroseeding with Green Solution Hydroseeding, doing some brush hog work, a couple of yard cleanup jobs, and an ongoing farm cleanup.

Last week was another busy time! (We were also cramming as much in as we could before the crazy heat indexes hit this weekend!)

We did some tree and shrub trimming work for a return client. (I forgot to get the 'before' pictures. 🤦). The tall evergreen was rubbing on her fence and garage, the cedar tree had dead and obscure branches that were blocking a view from a sitting area, the deciduous tree had some branches that were over the sidewalk, and the shrubs needed a little haircut. 😁

As you can see from the dump trailer load, quite a bit of trimming was done. (Nearly a ton of weight, literally, at the dump site!) The great thing about where this material is taken is that they chip and shred everything to make mulch that is FREE to the public to use! (They do charge a very reasonable fee if they need to load it.)

The trees are now tamed and dead growth is gone, and the shrubs have a great hairstyle for the rest of the year. 😁

What a HOT week it was! We did quite a bit of brush hog work and even tilled up around an acre. I'm getting ahead of myself...

We did about a 2 acre lot first off right on the edge of Mitchell. This belongs to some friends that usually take care of it, but just ran short of time. (Like we all do!) They asked us to knock the tall stuff down to comply with city ordinances. (And we can help YOU, too!)

The second project was several acres total. First, we brush hogged some tall stuff. Then, a portion of that area was tilled up for an area that is going to become a horse arena. As you can see, it was HOT, DRY, and VERY dusty. (Have I mentioned lately how much I LOVE that cab with A/C??)

We've got some tree trimming, some dirt work, MORE brush hogging, and even a driveway or two coming up to be put in. (We'll be sure to get lots of pictures of that! 😁)
