The electronic lock on this safe was very old ~ 20 years. I recommend replacing electronic safe locks at about 10 maybe 15 years old at the latest. Mechanical safe locks should be serviced regularly depending on their work load that can vary of course. Either way, if they start acting strange or eating batteries give me a call ASAP!

I had a safe lock out in Columbus, IN yesterday that was a little peculiar. The symptoms started adding up to a fired relocker. A relocker is an anti theft device that almost all well built safes have installed. This is one of the harder problems to overcome. This opening required a couple holes due to not having a precise location of the relocker. They can fire for a number of reasons. One would included slamming the door forcefully/ repeatedly. Be nice to your safes! They will be nice to you.

Huge shout out to Bedford Office Supply for reaching out for a hand with a batch of safes! I had the pleasure of converting all the safes from electronic to mechanical safe locks. I personally prefer mechanical safe locks over electronic as well. I have a lot more tricks up my sleeve for mechanical safe locks. Electronics make my drill trigger finger itchy! I was happy and grateful for the work as always!

A call for all keys lost to a car came in yesterday. I was able to respond rapidly and effectively. I was out in no time at all, and had keys in hand made from scratch. No codes, no disassembly necessary in this case. Just good old locksmith magic at work 🪄 🔑 🪄
