Late spring we had request from a Currituck, NC couple that wanted to add a fireplace for their new home. After our home visit we recommended that they go with the Prestige mantel with a 34 Manhattan fireplace made by Buck Stove. The customers loved the look of what I call the (Bookshelf Mantel) but wanted it in white and not the colors the manufacture provide. So, I asked the manufacture to please paint me a white mantle, and they agreed for slight up charge for custom paint. We installed the mantel and fireplace, and our customers were pleased with the outcome. This week I went back to fire off the fireplace and found a perfectly decorated bookshelf fireplace and wanted to post a picture of it.
Buck Stove is American made here in western North Carolina and is also Veteran owned.

First gas fireplace service in the books for the season, roughly 299 more to go through the fall and winter seasons. We were called to Edenton to service a gas log fireplace and inspect unused gas lines for a grill. The fireplace needed a full check-up, and we made sure all connections were in good shape. Our inspection also confirmed that the unused lines were secure and not a risk.

Taking these extra steps can make all the difference in keeping a home comfortable and safe. If you haven’t had your gas logs or lines checked in a while, now is a good time.

A masonry fireplace can feel underused in the summer, but it's the perfect time for an upgrade.

We installed a new set of Monessen's Stoney Creek gas logs and a gas line for a homeowner in Edenton. The setup included a 24-inch burner with remote, a 10-piece log set along with the optional 2-log enhancement kit, and all the fittings for a safe connection. Our crew handled the full install and followed up with thorough leak and appliance checks.

Blue flames on a new cooktop always feel like a win. In Weeksville, we finished the final connections for gas appliances, including a cooktop, water heater, and generator set-up. Each line was secured with black iron piping, brass fittings, and supported for long-term use.

We adjusted the cooktop for steady flames and checked the system for leaks—everything passed. The water heater flagged a venting issue, so we made sure the right people were informed before moving forward. These careful steps help keep homes safe and appliances ready to use.
