Out in Temple getting this arena squared away! 🛠️🐎

Wrapped up a solid project tackling a little bit of everything to make this arena fully functional and built to handle heavy stock:

Custom Steer Chute: Fabricated and set a heavy-duty pipe chute frame from the ground up, tied right into the lead-up lane.

Heavy-Duty Swing Gates & Hinges: Welded on new heavy barrel hinges and hung heavy-duty pipe swing gates so everything opens smooth and stays sag-free.

Fence & Alley Upgrades: Built out new pipe panel fencing and wood-lined alley sections to keep livestock moving safely.

When you’re running cattle and horses, light-duty hardware just doesn't cut it. Built solid to stand up to daily ranch work!

Smoker Modification & Tune-Up Complete! 🔥🍖

Took this pit to the next level with a few key performance and usability upgrades:

New Tall Smoke Stack: Upgraded to a larger, taller stack to dramatically improve draft and airflow—meaning cleaner smoke and better temperature control across the cook chamber.

Expanded Firebox Door: Cut out and fabricated a significantly larger firebox door so feeding big splits is smooth and hassle-free.

New Stainless Steel Spring Handle: Welded on a fresh stainless spring handle to keep heat transfer low and make opening the firebox safe and comfortable.

Grate Adjustments: Fixed up and re-aligned the internal cooking grates so they slide easy, sit level, and give maximum usable surface space.

Big airflow upgrades like this turn a struggling pit into an effortless wood-burner. Ready to lay down some serious BBQ!

Some builds hit completely different. 🤍🕊️

Losing family is never easy, but being able to lay down welds for someone you love is one of the most personal things you can do in a shop. Every cut, weld, and bead on this cross was made with a heavy heart, honoring a life cut far too short (2006–2026).

It’s hard putting feelings into words when someone you care about passes, but taking the time to build something solid and permanent that will stand out there for years to come meant everything to me.

These are built to be absolutely indestructible. Hand-welded right here in the workshop, these heavy-duty bank stands are engineered to hold up against big fish, strong currents, and a lifetime of rough use. Whether you are targeting giant catfish, carp, or fishing the surf, these holders will not budge.

"Started from the bottom, now we’re here!" 🛠️💥

Full bottom-side refurbish on this cattle trailer project!

We stripped out the rotted wood, repaired and prepped the underlying frame, and laid down fresh, solid lumber.

Almost complete—just a few minor details to finish up before she’s ready to get back to work! 🐮🚛

Out with the old, in with the strong! 🛠️💥

This cattle trailer is getting a complete bottom-half overhaul. We’re cutting out all the heavy rust and rot, replacing the entire lower metal frame, and prepping fresh steel and lumber to make it rock solid for years to come.

Tear-down is in progress—stay tuned for the final reveal! 🚚💨

There’s nothing quite like giving back to the places that shaped you.

Today I had the privilege of fabricating the custom brackets and handling the installation for the new scoreboard on the very same ballfields I grew up playing on as a kid. Stepping back onto these fields to put our work on display hits a little different.

A huge thank you to the league for trusting 4W Metal Works & Construction with this project. We built it heavy-duty to ensure it keeps score for the next generation of ballplayers for years to come.
