Preserving the character of a historic home takes more than simply replacing windows—it requires attention to every detail that makes the home what it is.
As we continue the window replacement on this beautiful historic property, we're giving the trim the same level of care. Each window is receiving new beaded 5/4 casing, custom milled in-house to match the original historic brick molding profile and maintain the architectural integrity of the home.
For this project, we're using Red Grandis, a premium hardwood that machines exceptionally well, holds a sharp, clean profile, and offers superior durability compared to the finger-jointed products commonly used today. While many historic homes are often repaired with synthetic materials such as PVC, we believe a home of this caliber deserves real wood and historically appropriate craftsmanship.
Red Grandis is a material worthy of a home with this much history and character. Our goal isn't to make the trim look new. Our goal is to make it look like it was never changed at all. That's what true restoration craftsmanship is all about.
This is the kind of work we take pride in, preserving the details that make these homes special while ensuring they'll continue to stand the test of time for generations to come.
