Still gaining on it. Porch rails went on today. 90+ spindles cut to duplicate the originals found under the porch and in the out buildings. Porch skirts, then onto the shutters to complete the exterior.

Two weeks have made a huge difference. Lots of people, long days and weekends have really gained on the old house. Next up color while we fabricate the porch rails then shutters. If the weather holds we should make the schedule.

If you're in the area of Flemington NJ, side trip through Ringoes NJ to see what's going on. After a 2 year break the house is getting a much needed exterior makeover. 2 years ago we stabilized it. This fall is the push to finish the exterior. Goal is to have the makeover done by thanksgiving. I know, really, but the past 10 days have been amazing.
As my roll in the effort has changed, I want to give a shout out to the players that have gotten the project this far.
Alvaro Cross. The do all get it done wonder.
Henry Lee- we saved it!
J&S Electric- For taking "Old Sparky" out and made the electrical system safe.
Tom Hartman and his crew for buttoning up things as the wick was turned up on us.
Revival Construction- great crew, attention to detail, picked up the ball on the front porch restoration when he REALLY didn't have time. Mike and his crew have been great to deal with.
The interior will be another project as the plans are worked out for an end use, but for now it'll no.longer be the eyesore it was allowed to become.

After I got involved with this, I learned that my ancestors actually built this property as well as Rockingham in the Rocky Hill area.
It's nice to know it was saved from certain demolition. It is just a farmhouse but it is history. And in today's times it's easier to demo it than save it. There was a vision to save it to be more than more apartments or another warehouse.

Gotta go, Thanksgiving isn't far away.
