Air conditioning advice for the upcoming hot temperatures.
Set your thermostat to a comfortable temperature and leave it there. Do not turn it off.
Make sure all supply and return. Air registers are open and free of obstructions.
Put in a new air filter in your furnace.
Use a water hose to spray off the outside fins of your outdoor condensing unit.
Turning your thermostat to a lower temperature will not make the air colder.
With outside temperatures in the 90s, your air conditioner will run nonstop.
Older homes, poorly, insulated houses, and mobile homes will most likely not reach your desired temperature.
