A note to customers, we highly recommend avoiding this company in Midland. Some of the tile we recieved in a $54,000 purchase from them is extremely low quality. Here is the excuse we recieved from the company. We have many reputable tile companies we work with locally, we will never use this company again. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
Good afternoon Shawn. This is Jacob Rickman with Sierra Tile. Archie had just spoke to me about what's going on. The way this tile is being laid is a custom job which means the pattern you are doing will involve you to " make it work ".
And what I mean by that is it is always recommended to dry lay the floor with the tile to make sure everything fits before actually installing it. Each pc of tile is not going to always be the exact length " 8x24 and 3x24 ". This goes with all tiles in general. It is called nominal lengths. In most cases there will be a slight difference in each pc ranging from 1/8 " - 1/4 " off ( length or width )
The pc's that you see that are off or don't fit, you can take those out and get another pc of tile that may be longer as the 3x24 and 8x24 were made at different times. Or if a pc is too long you may have to cut it. If you have already started installing. Our recommendation is that you tear out the pc's that are off and replace it with another pc that you have not laid yet.
Based off of these pictures and what Archie had told me. This is my understanding above. If I am not understanding what you are talking about feel free to call me or text me back so we can figure this out.
Thanks.
