Trust, but verify. A sewer camera doesn't have an opinion, it just shows the truth

A homeowner recently called us for a second opinion after another company cleaned their drain and recommended a sewer descaling service for approximately $5,000.

Rather than simply agreeing or disagreeing, our technician started with a camera inspection and walked the homeowner through what we were seeing inside the pipe.

What we found:
• Scale buildup was present.
• A descaling service was a reasonable recommendation.
• But based on the condition of the line, we believed the work could be completed for about $2,000.

The homeowner appreciated being able to see the issue firsthand, ask questions, and compare options before making a decision. They chose to move forward with us.

The lesson isn't that every estimate should be the same. Every company has different equipment, methods, and pricing.

The lesson is this:
When you're facing a repair that costs thousands of dollars, don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion. A good contractor should be willing to show you the problem, explain your options, and let you make an informed decision.
