It was a beautiful day to plant trees! 50 of our Chinese Chestnuts went into the ground this morning for a wonderful customer.

Fall is the perfect time to plant trees. We offer delivery and planting services in addition to our tree sales!

We're currently collecting seed and organizing our bare root order for next season. If you are looking for anything specific, please reach out - we'd love to help!

We’re so excited to partner with Dubuque Trees Forever for their special fall tree giveaway on October 17th at the Dubuque Farmers' Market!

The first 150 Dubuque residents who stop by their booth will be able to choose a stunning Dawn Redwood, White Oak, Swamp White Oak, Bur Oak or a Northern Red Oak sapling to take home.

If you’ve been wanting to add a tree to your yard, this is a great opportunity to get a beautiful, locally grown tree — completely FREE! Their Education Coordinator, the incomparable Steve Pregler, will be there to answer any questions you may have and help you choose the best tree for your space!

Click on their post below to find the Facebook event they recently created, and follow along for updates and reminders as the event gets closer!

We have an exciting fall project planned for Oct 17! We will be at Farmers Market with FREE trees! We are working with Oswald Nursery to provide free Oak and Dawn Redwood saplings to the first 150 Dubuque residents that stop by our booth! We will also provide a handout on "how to plant your tree" that is written by our Education Coordinator, Steve Pregler so that you can successfully plant your new tree.

Trees often represent years of growth and memories, not to mention the investment of time and money. Losing one can be heartbreaking and frustrating. If you’ve lost a tree (or multiple) due to the recent storms, we want to help you by offering 10% off your purchase of a new tree, along with reasonable delivery and planting services if desired. Please message us here on Facebook or give us a call (563)581-4710. We’d be happy to learn more about your situation and property and work with you to determine the best replacement plan.

We’re loving all the rain here at the nursery! Great time to slow operations and appreciate our hard work.

Trees are happy and we’re so excited to show you what we’ve been working on!

🌱 Grateful for 2025. Growing into 2026. 🌱

Happy Spring Equinox! As we begin a new planting season, we want to pause and say a heartfelt thank you. 2025 was incredibly rewarding for our nursery. As a small, family-owned operation, your trust in our trees, our process, and our team truly means a great deal to us.

Last year, we were especially grateful for the opportunity to complete projects for Cornerstone Tree Farm, Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, Dubuque Trees Forever, and the Dubuque Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Thank you for your partnerships! We’re excited for new and familiar experiences and collaborations this year with local partners.

Whether you’re planning for a single tree or a larger project this year — we’d be honored to work with you. Please message us here on Facebook or submit an order or inquiry through our website at www.oswaldnursery.com. In addition to tree sales, we now offer professional planting and landscaping, bringing the same experience and care we’ve always applied to our work. If you’ve got ideas (even half-formed ones), reach out—let’s see what we can create together!
