This job was one of my favorites and an absolute testament to how great hydroseeding performs when it’s done properly.

On this plot of land, a house used to sit that unfortunately burned down. All that remained was a chimney and parts of the foundation. The homeowner beside this property eventually went on to purchase the plot since it neighbored his house.

After purchasing it, the homeowner had what was left of the house demolished and cleaned up so the property could be usable again. However, he couldn’t get anything to grow on it. The plot was nothing but straight clay, and any seed that was broadcast on top would just wash right off.

When we started preparing the plot for hydroseeding, we pulled up huge chunks of concrete, brick, electrical wiring, trash, and other remnants of the old home. Despite all of that, grass still started coming up just days after we sprayed it.

The first two pictures were taken today - exactly 86 days after spraying.

I used to ride by this property every day on my way to high school and see that chimney standing by itself on the plot. I would always wonder what happened to the house and what would eventually happen to the property, or if the house would ever be rebuilt.

Now, years later, I’m the one getting to hydroseed it and bring life back to that spot.

It’s funny how God has a plan for us the whole time, and we’re just oblivious to it. 😂 I imagine He laughed every time I drove by wondering what would happen to that property.

If you need grass, go ahead and secure your spot for spring! 🌱 We can’t spray warm-season grasses again until next warm season, so now is the time to get on the schedule.

🦌🌱 Give the deer more than a pile of corn - give them a buffet.

Last weekend we hydroseeded another hunting property with a blend of clover, brassica, and iron clay peas, along with fertilizer and nutrients to help get the plot established.
This plot was approximately 10,000 sqft and only took 2 tank loads to complete

Our hydroseeding slurry puts a layer of wood mulch over the seed, helping protect it from birds and other animals eating it before it has a chance to germinate. The force of the slurry also helps seat the seed against the soil for good seed-to-soil contact and even coverage.

A food plot is a more natural way to provide supplemental forage and nutrients for deer, and with proper maintenance, it can continue producing forage season after season.

Instead of constantly buying feed by the bag, grow it by the acre. 🦌🌱

It’s hydroseeding! We mix grass seed, premium mulch, fertilizer and other additives together and spray it evenly over prepared soil to establish grass.
