Good Saturday, SnowFreaks!!!
Wow, most of the models are in pretty good agreement with this.... However, there are differences with the strength, ratios, and ultimately, snow amounts.....
Some as low as an inch or 2, in certain areas, to as much as 10" - YUP. Have to love the wide range, love the pressure on me...
As it stands right now. Light scattered snow shower will develop later and last overnight, not expecting much of anything, maybe an inch or 2 by 7AM, MAYBE! At this moment, I think the main aummulating snow will be from 7AM through 3PM - Now, we will still see some snow after, but, I think that will be the peak of it.
Here is a very colorful map, for all you map lovers.... Thank God, I will be able to peak on local and short term data when it comes in later tonight. This is a bit tricky for 2 reasons.. 1, Will there be banding where the snow is coming down heavy in certain spots? Will the temps be in the 20's or slight above freesing? I thing the southern areas in our areas will see temps climb above freezing, making the ratios very low, wouldnt even be shocked to see some mixiing....
Red - 4" to 7" of snow... I would lean towards the lower end of the range, however, even if temps are near 30, and its coming down hard enough, and persists, we could easily see 7" if not even more in spots! But, 4" to 7" I am confident in.
Blue- 3" to 6" - Again, guys, plan on the lower side, but, some data showing 5" to 6" all day....
Yellow - 1" to 3"
Green - Dusting to an inch, could 2" happen, sure, but, you get the idea, I think it will be a lot less snowfall here...
Will update later this evening if I can.
Recap - Peak of snow - will start between 6AM and 8AM and last through 3PM and 5PM Sunday!
Have a good day and God Bless
