Georgia has been HOT lately.! With temperatures hanging out in the upper 90s, most of us are naturally using more water than usual.

Between running the sprinklers, filling up the kids' pools, watering plants, extra showers and more laundry, it adds up pretty quickly. So if your water bill is a little higher this time of year, that's not necessarily unusual. How old is your water heater? It's probably not something most homeowners think about...until they wake up to a cold shower. 😅

Most traditional water heaters last about 8–12 years. If yours is getting close to that age, it's worth paying attention to a few warning signs before it decides to quit on you.

Keep an eye out for:
➡️ Rust-colored water coming from your hot water tap
➡️ Rumbling, popping, or other unusual noises
➡️ Running out of hot water faster than you used to
➡️ Water collecting around the base of the tank

A water heater doesn't always fail without warning. In many cases, it gives you little clues that it's nearing the end of its life.

Big projects like this don't happen without a great team behind them.

Our crew is installing a new septic system for this new construction project, including two 4,500-gallon septic tanks and 2,700 feet of field line. It's a big job, but our guys have done a great job from start to finish.

Those tree roots may be out of sight, but they can cause some major headaches.

This customer was dealing with a sewer line blockage caused by roots that had worked their way into the pipe. Instead of guessing where the problem was, we used our sewer camera to pinpoint the exact location. Once we found it, our high-pressure hydro jetter cut through the roots and cleared the line, helping restore proper flow.

The right equipment makes all the difference, and seeing exactly what's going on inside your pipes means we can recommend the right solution from the start.

➡️ Skip putting grease, bones, corn husks, watermelon rinds, and other tough food scraps down the garbage disposal. It can save you from an unexpected plumbing headache.

➡️ With these hot temperatures, keep an eye on your outdoor faucets and hoses. A small leak can waste more water than you might think.

➡️ If you're hosting family and friends, remember that only toilet paper should be flushed. Wipes, paper towels, and other products can lead to clogs when your plumbing is already working overtime.
