This built-in spa had never had a cover—and it wasn’t quite a true rectangle.

The spa bows slightly through the center, so standard measurements wouldn’t have produced the right fit. I made a full-size template at the customer’s home in La Cañada Flintridge, then had this 89″ × 112″ three-piece Heavy Duty spa cover custom-made in Wildwood.

The homeowner especially wanted the spa covered when it wasn’t being used because his grandchildren visit the home.

**Another built-in spa covered!**

This slightly raised built-in plaster spa received a new custom **Tropical Blue spa cover with Heavy Duty 2.0 lb. foam**.

The cover was made to fit the spa and rest properly on the surrounding coping, with locking tie-downs to help keep it securely in place.

Check out the before and after photos — that Tropical Blue really changes the look of the spa!

Custom Spa Cover for a Portable Spa Installed in a Vault

This 92" square portable spa in Irvine is installed inside a recessed vault, so the direction of the water runoff was especially important.

The previous cover drained toward the front and back. At the rear of the spa, that water had nowhere useful to go and could potentially drain into the vault.

For the new cover, we turned the hinge direction 90 degrees so the cover now slopes left and right. This allows rainwater to drain away from the vault instead of toward it.

The new cover was made in Gray with Deluxe 1.5 lb. foam and a 3" skirt for a clean custom fit.

A replacement spa cover should do more than fit—it should work correctly with the way the spa is installed.
