🐀🦝 HIDDEN Entry Points = BIG Problems for Your Home 🏠

From the roofline to the ground level, wildlife will take advantage of even the smallest opening to get inside your home.

These photos show just a few of the common problems we find during inspections:

• Rats chewing holes and creating entry points around the home

• Rats tunneling through attic insulation, contaminating everything in their path

• Birds building nests inside open dryer vents, creating fire hazards and airflow issues

• Raccoons tearing into soffit vents to gain attic access

• Raccoons tunneling and flattening attic insulation while searching for shelter

• Openings and weak spots around chimneys becoming easy access points for wildlife

Once animals get inside, the damage can escalate fast — chewed wiring, ruined insulation, odors, contamination, and costly repairs.

At The Critter Crew, we don’t just remove the animals — we identify every entry point, seal the home properly, and help keep them out for good. 🔒

🐿️ Small Entry Points = Big Problems 🦝

Raccoons and squirrels don’t need much space to break into your attic. Loose rooflines, damaged soffits, and weakened vent areas can quickly turn into a wildlife highway straight into your home. Once inside, they can tear insulation apart, contaminate areas, and create costly damage.

And rodents? They’re a whole different problem. Rats will travel through attics and walls searching for food—and in severe infestations, it’s not uncommon for rats to cannibalize other rats caught in traps. If you’re seeing activity, hearing noises, or noticing droppings, the problem is usually bigger than what’s visible.

At The Critter Crew, we locate every entry point from the roofline to the foundation, seal vulnerable areas, and build a customized exclusion plan to keep wildlife and rodents out for good.

🏠 Hidden Entry Points = Open Door for Wildlife 🦝🐿️🐀

These photos show some of the most common ways animals are getting into homes:

🔧 One-Way Door Installed

That roof setup? It allows animals to exit safely—but not get back in. This is the right way to remove wildlife without trapping babies inside or causing more damage.

❄️ A/C Line Entry Points

Gaps around A/C lines are like highways for rodents and small wildlife. If it’s not sealed properly, they will find their way inside.

🧱 Missing & Damaged Bricks

Loose or broken bricks create the perfect opening for animals to sneak into walls and attics—often without you even noticing.

At The Critter Crew, we don’t just remove animals—we find every entry point and seal it up for good.

🚨 Unwanted Guests Moving In? Not On Our Watch. 🚨

These photos tell a story we see all too often…

🦝 Raccoons are powerful and determined—tearing straight through roof shingles to create entry points into your attic. Once inside, they don’t just settle in… they make themselves at home. Those paw prints you see on the ductwork? That’s clear evidence of attic activity, and where there’s one, there could be more.

🐀🐿️ It’s not just raccoons either.
Rats and squirrels are constantly searching for weak spots—whether it’s:

• High up along your roofline
• Gaps in soffits or vents
• Or even down low at the foundation level

They will chew, tear, and exploit ANY vulnerability to get inside.

⚠️ The problem?

Once they gain access, it can lead to:

• Damaged insulation & ductwork
• Contamination from droppings & urine
• Structural damage that only gets worse over time

💡 The solution is prevention AND proper repair.

At The Critter Crew, we don’t just remove the animals—we identify every entry point from top to bottom and seal your home the right way.

🏠 From the roofline to the ground level, we’ve got you covered.

As winter winds down and temperatures start to shift in March, rodents begin moving more aggressively around homes looking for reliable shelter. Rooflines, gutters, and attic vents are some of the most common places we find rat entry points. These photos show exactly how small openings along the roofline can turn into a highway straight into the attic.

🐀 March is a big month for rat activity in North Texas. As outdoor food sources change and breeding season approaches, rats start exploring rooflines, pushing into weak spots in construction, and taking advantage of unprotected openings.

In these photos you can see:

• A roofline gap protected with steel screening to stop rodents from squeezing inside.

• A roof vent with damage around the opening, which rats often chew through to access attics.

• A rat captured in a tamper-resistant bait station, showing just how active they are around homes this time of year.

Rats are excellent climbers and commonly access homes by traveling along fences, trees, and utility lines before jumping onto the roof. Once there, they look for loose flashing, roof returns, vents, and small gaps along the gutter line.

🔎 The key to stopping them isn’t just trapping — it’s identifying and sealing every potential entry point.

At The Critter Crew, we focus on both removal and long-term prevention by securing vulnerable areas along the roofline before rodents can get inside.

If you’re hearing scratching in the attic or noticing rodent activity around your home, now is the time to address it before spring populations explode.

❤️🏠 Love Your Home This Valentine’s Day 🏠❤️

Don’t just show love to the ones inside your home… show a little love to your home itself.

These photos show a very common problem we see this time of year — wildlife creating entry points right at roof returns, siding corners, chimney bases, etc. What starts as a small gap can quickly turn into a highway for squirrels, raccoons, opossums, and rodents looking for a warm place to stay.

🐿️ Chewed siding
🐁 Unsealed vents
🐀 Open construction gaps
🦝 Easy access at roof lines
🦨 Weak spots due to weather

The good news? Every one of these entry points can be properly sealed and reinforced to keep wildlife out for good.

At The Critter Crew, we don’t just remove the animals — we identify and secure vulnerable areas all around your home so they don’t come back. From the roofline to the foundation, we’ve got you covered.

❄️ February Means Wildlife Is Still Looking for a Way In 🦝🐀🐿️

Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean wildlife season is. In fact, late winter is when raccoons, rats, and squirrels get even more determined to find (or create) entry points into your home.

Take a look at these recent finds 👇

🔎 Attic gaps & roofline openings – Raccoons and squirrels will tear through weak spots to access warm attic spaces.

🪵 Chewed siding & wood rot areas – Rats and squirrels only need a small opening to squeeze inside.

🏠 Roof vents & returns – If they’re not properly secured, they’re an open invitation for wildlife.

Once inside, they can:
• Tear up insulation
• Chew wiring
• Create fire hazards
• Leave behind contamination
• Cause expensive structural damage

February is prime time for preventative work before spring nesting season kicks into high gear.

If you hear scratching, chewing, or movement in your attic — don’t wait.

🐀 Rodents Don’t Care Where They Get In — Just That They Do! 🐁

As temperatures drop, rodents get more desperate — and that means they’re looking for any entry point, from high above to down below.

📸 These photos show real-world problem areas we see every day:

• Roofline & flashing gaps up high where mice and rats can squeeze in

• Rotted trim and foundation corners near ground level

• Utility and pipe penetrations that were never properly sealed

Rodents are excellent climbers and diggers. If they can’t find a way in at ground level, they’ll go up the roof, through returns, soffits, or roof edges. If that fails, they’ll exploit foundation gaps, rot, or pipe openings down low.

⚠️ One small opening is all it takes.

Now is the time to:

✔️ Inspect your home from top to bottom
✔️ Seal vulnerable entry points
✔️ Prevent rodents before they move in

At The Critter Crew, we specialize in full-home inspections and professional exclusion methods to keep rodents out for good.

🐭❄️ Start the New Year Off Right — Keep Rodents Out ❄️🐭

As temperatures drop, rodents start looking for one thing: a warm place to nest. Unfortunately, that often means your home.

These photos show some of the most common rodent entry points we see this time of year:

• Roofline and gutter access
• Gaps along brick and siding transitions
• Openings under garage doors

Peak season is here, and even small gaps can turn into big problems if left unsealed. Rodents can squeeze through openings as small as a quarter and cause damage to insulation, wiring, and structural materials.

✅ The best defense? Proactive exclusion.
Sealing entry points now helps prevent infestations before they start.

If you want to start the new year with peace of mind (and without unwanted guests), The Critter Crew is here to help.
