Thanks to some fingers that will never look the same, I have the entire weekend off. I'm pretty sure I won't be twisting any balloons for at least a couple of weeks, but I'm hoping I'll be able to handle a camera and get back to real estate and food photography work sooner. I will have more information on what the future holds after I meet with the surgeon Monday morning.

I'm still in a fair bit of pain, and it doesn't take much to aggravate the wounds. I have pain medication, and antibiotics to help prevent infection, so I'll just keep pressing on one day at a time.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend, I hope all my entertainer friends are creating lots of smiles and giggles at their parties and events. Hugs... well half a hug and love to everyone!

I got up early and headed out to White Rock Lake this morning because the Bald Eagles have been very active around Pelican Bay. Nick (Daddy Eagle) spent the entire 2 1/2 hours I was there perched in a tree next to where I parked the bike. Nora (Momma Eagle) and Henley (Baby Eagle) spent most of the time on some dead trees out in the bay.

I had a chance to stop by and check on my favorite herd of Longhorns yesterday and they were all gathered up close to the road in a pasture covered in yellow flowers. It was an overcast morning, and even rained lightly while I was out, but I still managed to get some nice photos.
