Annual reminder that it's normal to see bobcats and coyotes around DFW.
- They do not need to be trapped and relocated. Hazing them to stay away from humans is a more appropriate, long term approach.

- Being seen during daytime is not a sign of illness such as Rabies.
- Do not leave small dogs, cats, or other pets outside without close supervision.
- Prevent them from making your property their new den. Block off gaps under decks and sheds, clear out brush and debris, and keep landscaping trimmed back and up off the ground. These are the same conditions that also attract rodents, snakes, and most wildlife. Predators follow prey.
If you do come across little bobcat kits, get some distance. They are super cute, but stay away and don't let mom think you're a threat. If you give them space, bobcats are no threat to humans. They hunt squirrels and bunnies; even small humans are too big to be considered food.
