I have to bring back the abominable snowman at least once every winter. He's making a comeback this weekend. Most people don't understand that an occasional dip into sub-freezing temps overnight really doesn't present a problem. But a 2 to 3 day blast of sub freezing temps can cause damage to your pool equipment and hose bibs and whatever else, especially if they are not protected from a North wind. Best way I have found and I use for myself, is to wrap your pool equipment with old fashioned incandescent Christmas lights and tent the equipment with landscape fabric. Never has anyone I've known who has done this ever had a problem. If you want our help, start lining us up now because I can assure you the phone starts ringing on Thursday when everyone starts thinking about what they can do to eliminate any damage for the weekend.

There’s always a vocal element to those who aren’t happy and we get our fair share of those. But it sure is nice when a check comes in the mail wrapped in a message like this - makes it seem like you’re doing something right still.

I met a regular customer today who I personally haven't seen in a long time. We shot the breeze as they say and reminisced a bit. I reminded her that next year will be 20 yrs that we've known each other and 20 yrs that we've been coming every week. It was a bit emotional for both of us, honestly, to stop and think about that. You can imagine in 20 yrs, I've been through all of life's stages with a lot of them. I've never really been in the landscape business; in retrospect, I've been in the people business all these years. It has been a good run.

✅Get rid of my old structure that was rotten and sinking and build me a new one that doesn't have the support beams sitting in the middle of the pool deck. Make it out of real Western Red Cedar and stain it please.

This gem caught my eye at one of customers almost 10 years ago and I made comment on how beautiful it was. So now she sends me a picture of it at the beginning of every summer and I still stop and stare at its beauty. It is a Double Lacey Pink crape myrtle that is dwarf in size. It really is one of the more prettier crape myrtles I've seen in all my years.
