The bridge between the central portion of the park and Carlisle Elementary School is now open. I enclose a map of the temporary trail closures within the park for your reference.

There are a lot of Great Improvements happening to Jack Carter Park. Follow Along.

The contractor must temporarily close the bridge between the central portion of the park and Carlisle Elementary School to make the trail connection to the bridge. The bridge closure will be for two weeks, from February 22nd through March 8th. The bridge will open on March 9th, and bridge and schools access will re-open. I enclose a map of the temporary trail closures for your reference.

There was a meeting this morning for the executive committee for our neighborhoods. Unfortunately there were not enough attendees to hold the meeting so we will reschedule.

This is from Elizabeth Del Turco, the City of Plano Park Planner:

The weather has warmed enough, and the contractor is returning over the next couple of days to plant the aquatic plants that will help keep the pond water clear. He will be installing temporary wire cages around the plants to protect them from animals. The cages should come off in a few months.

From the city:
Beginning Monday December 5th construction crews will begin work on trails connection to the new playground at Jack Carter Park. There will be additional trails work performed at this time to address needed repairs on the existing trail. The trail will be temporarily closed to allow for this. A map is enclosed to show the portions that will be closed, along with a detour to allow for continued access within the park. Weather permitting, we hope to have the trail reopened within 10 working days.
Thank you for your patience.
