ARTIST SPOTLIGHT - Jan Riggins Art
Chalk This Way at Lewisville ColorPalooza presented by Lakeside Arts Foundation

Jan Riggins is an artist from Fort Worth. Her love of art started with watercolors, but once she discovered street art during COVID, her passion soon shifted and she now spends her time on the ground drawing or climbing up walls painting, exploring different textures, surfaces, and transparencies. Jan spends the majority of her time creating anamorphic (3D) street art pieces and trompe l'oeil murals that are fun and interactive.

Jan participated in ColorPalooza from 2021-2024, and we can't wait to see what she creates this year!

ColorPalooza presented by Lakeside Arts Foundation takes place Saturday, April 25 in Old Town Lewisville. Chalk This Way is located in front of City Hall.

With precision and passion, Joel Rubin, a CTAG artist, shapes wood into intricate, lace-like works of art using a lathe. He creates these delicate works of art by making very thin turnings and cut or pierce these creations to make decorations and then later airbrush colors onto them.

Karen Nixon's innovative spirit shone brightly at the first 2026 CTAG meeting, inspiring new possibilities. The group shared opportunities for artists around the area.
