We’re powering through a massive remodel right now and it is incredibly stressful for everyone trying to wrap things up, especially during the holiday season. My team and I have been in this project for so long, it sometimes feels like it will never end. My phrase I tell my people all of the time is this: “It (the project) will eventually end!”
One thing I’ve learned over my years as a general contractor is that remodels take a lot of time. Rushing projects and using subs that you haven’t had time to build trust, in order to speed projects along, is almost always a bad idea. Mistakes happen which cost even more time and lots of money. Learn from me to continue using your top talent crew, even if they are not as available as a tier 2 or 3 sub. And always remember— It will eventually end!
