Good morning from D&M hardwood flooring!

Just because we’re flying doesn’t mean the work stops. We’re still filling the schedule and keeping every job moving, even if I have to work from the airport!

We’ll always find a way to make it happen and ensure our customers are happy. This is only the beginning of a long and exciting journey that I’ve been working hard to build. Stay tuned…. big things are coming! ✈️💪

💥 WHEN YOU HIRE D&M HARDWOOD FLOORING, YOU’RE GETTING MORE THAN JUST A FLOOR.

I get asked all the time, “Can you do it cheaper?”

And I understand. Everybody has a budget. But there’s a reason one company might charge $1.25 for something while another charges $2.50, $3.00 or $3.50.

You’re not just paying for the work…. you’re paying for everything that comes with the company doing it.

When you hire D&M Hardwood Flooring, you’re getting:

✅ Reliability
✅ Communication
✅ Fast response times
✅ Experienced crews
✅ Quality workmanship
✅ White-glove service
✅ A company that stands behind its work
✅ Problems handled if something goes wrong
✅ Respect for your home and property
✅ Trust, safety and peace of mind
✅ Years of experience and a proven reputation

You’re hiring a company you can actually look up. Check our Google reviews. Check our website. Look through our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Nextdoor. Look at years of completed projects and customers who continue to recommend us.

That reputation wasn’t built overnight.

And when you let us into your home, even if you’re not there, you can feel comfortable knowing who you’re dealing with. That peace of mind has value too.

Materials cost more. Gas costs more. Labor costs more. Insurance, equipment and running a legitimate company all cost more. I can’t provide the level of workmanship and service we’re known for while competing with the absolute lowest price.

I’m not knocking anybody who charges less. There’s a customer for every company and a company for every budget.

But I also won’t lower our standards just to lower our price.

At the end of the day, I want every customer to feel like they got what they paid for and then some.

With D&M Hardwood Flooring, you’re not buying the cheapest floor.

You’re investing in quality, reliability, experience and peace of mind. 👷🏻‍♂️💪

Hardwood installation is about more than sweeping the floor and laying down boards. 👷🏻‍♂️

Before installation begins, the subfloor must be inspected, cleaned, secured, and leveled where needed. Proper preparation helps prevent squeaks, movement, gaps, and other problems down the road.

At D&M Hardwood Flooring, we don’t cut corners. We make sure your subfloor is ready so your new hardwood floor is built to last.

Here’s another project we looked at that we’ll be putting on the schedule in the next couple of weeks. 👷🏻‍♂️

These floors have been painted, but instead of covering them back up, we’re going to sand all that paint off and bring back the natural beauty of the wood underneath.

This isn’t your typical tongue-and-groove hardwood flooring—it’s older wood planks—but that’s exactly what’s going to give this floor its character. Once we get it sanded down and apply polyurethane, it should have that natural, rustic, aged look that fits this beach neighborhood perfectly. 🌊🏠

Sometimes an old floor doesn’t need to be replaced—it just needs somebody who knows how to bring it back to life.

Stay tuned for this transformation because this is going to be a good one: PAINTED FLOORS ➡️ NATURAL WOOD.

If you don’t want your hardwood floors turning yellow or orange over time, pay attention to the finish you choose.

Oil based polyurethane naturally ambers, giving the wood that warmer golden/orange tone. If you want to keep your floors light and preserve the natural, true color of the wood, a quality water-based finish is the way to go.

As you can see in this picture, the water based finish goes on pretty much clear without the amber tint you get from oil.

The finish you choose today determines what your floors will look like years from now. 👷🏻‍♂️🏠

WATCH WHO YOU HIRE 👀🪵

This picture is a perfect example of why you have to watch who you hire to install your hardwood floors.

I got a phone call to look at a brand-new installation, and this is what I walked into. Look closely at how many boards end at the exact same spot. There’s basically no staggering, and the new flooring wasn’t properly woven into the existing floor.

When you tie new hardwood into an existing floor, you’re supposed to remove boards at different lengths and weave the new flooring into the old flooring. When it’s done correctly, you shouldn’t be able to look across the room and immediately see where the old floor stops and the new floor begins.

The crazy part is the installer actually came back while I was there and told me he was going to “fix it when he sanded it.”

My question was simple: Why install it like this in the first place?

Sanding isn’t going to change where the boards end. When you have 2, 3, or 4 boards ending on the same line, it creates obvious seams and boxes in the floor.

Unfortunately, now this flooring has to be taken back up, properly reinstalled and woven, then sanded and refinished all over again.

Hardwood flooring isn’t just about getting the boards down. Installation matters. Staggering matters. Weaving matters. Experience matters.

Do it right the first time. 👷🏻‍♂️🪵
