Nice to finally get some shade on this deck conversion. The homeowner wanted to tear it down and start over with full composite materials but I talked them into adding this pergola, 2x6 top handrail caps, joining the balcony off the bedroom to the deck and applying another coat of white paint to the railings and a tan color floor. They wanted to remove the master bedroom balcony and remove the French doors leading out onto it but by adding a simple walkway and pergola it totally transformed the space! The money saved is going into the new master bathroom and kitchen so we can really show off a little bit! We can always help you figure out what makes sense in a realistic budget layout, even if it means we make less of a profit! This property will be going up for sale in the next 6 months so we will be renovating all the important rooms (kitchen, dining, master bedroom, master bathroom and guest bathroom) and doing a cosmetic makeover outside. I’ll be posting a more detailed layout of the pergola project which is the first on the list in the next couple of days.
