My grandmother, Laura, passed away today. Our shared love of mid century modern design and the memories we created together will always be close to my heart. I’ll miss watching home remodeling shows with her, her curiosity about how things were made, and the joy of seeing the final reveal together. Her intelligence and determination left a lasting impact on me, especially in the way I see and appreciate design. I will miss her deeply, but I find comfort in knowing she is in heaven with my abuelo now.
Nick and I will be away this week as we attend services and honor her life.
