Under-pad plumbing hits DIFFERENT on a H**pcrete build.
Before pouring the pad, running under-slab plumbing for a h**p-lime home takes extra precision. H**pcrete stops above grade, but your under-pad layout sets up the whole build.
Here’s what you need to get right before the pour:
Thick Wall Setbacks H**pcrete walls are typically 10–12+ inches thick. Stubbing up for a standard 2x4 frame means your toilet fl**ge or drain lands inside the wall. Calculate all stubs off the timber frame centerline and final plaster finish.
Lime Sleeve Protocols Under IPC code, bare metals corrode in high-alkalinity environments. Any copper or metal stub passing through the slab into the h**p-lime envelope must be sleeved or wrapped. PEX-a inside conduit and sleeved DWV lines are standard practice.
V***r Barrier Seals Because h**pcrete is v***r-permeable, sub-slab moisture is the enemy. Every pipe pe*******on through the under-pad v***r barrier must be taped or booted watertight before pouring concrete.

This project will bring together multiple h**pcrete installation methods, materials, and philosophies into one collaborative build environment. More than a structure, it will serve as a real-world cross section of where natural building is headed and what becomes possible when passionate people unite around a common purpose.

What makes this especially meaningful is the spirit behind it.
